Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), describes a broad range of conditions characterized by difficulties with social skills, engagement of repetitive behaviors, delayed speech, and non-vocal communication.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is based on the science of learning and behavior. It is an evidence-based approach used to improve or change specific behaviors. It is the systematic approach for identifying environmental variables that affect behavior.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy has shown to make meaningful, long-lasting improvements and is the most effective treatment for children with autism.

Essentially, BCBAs study and manipulate the environment in which certain behaviors are displayed and then create individualized treatment plans that increase wanted behaviors and decrease unwanted behaviors.
